Christmas at Andy Hotel Apartment Wellness is perfect to zone out and spend time with your loved ones. During the day, small and large guests engage in winter activities on and off the slopes of the Hochzeiger ski area. In the evenings, guests spend relaxing hours in our spa area, in the restaurant or in your cozy apartment. On request, we will be happy to place a decorated Christmas tree in your room against a small fee. Spending Christmas and New Year at Andy  also means no pressure, no cooking or last minute shopping. The whole family can just relax and unwind.

Traditional and festive Christmas in the Pitztal Valley

On Christmas Eve we offer a torch walk to the Christmas crib in Kaitanger where we will enjoy mulled wine and punch. After returning to the hotel, guests can spend their evening just as they like. In the hotel lobby there will be a decorated Christmas tree where the “Christ Child” can leave presents and the adjacent restaurant offers a delicious Christmas menu. Or you can celebrate in your apartment and enjoy the family time. Everything is possible at Andy!

Choose for yourself how to ring in the New Year: Enjoy a delicious New Year’s eve menu in our restaurant, prepare a fine dinner in your apartment or celebrate the turn of the year in a mountain hut – just as you wish. At midnight, fireworks will be discharged in the surroundings to greet the New Year. Soak in the spectacular display of fireworks from your balcony and round off the day with a glass of fine wine.

Andy Hotel Apartment Wellness is located directly at the valley station of the Hochzeiger cable car. Sports shops renting and selling equipment are just a few minutes away. There’s no need to drag your equipment long distances to the slopes. You can leave your skis at home and test new equipment every day.

The best time for skiers who aren’t quite ready to give up the joys of winter fun. It may officially be spring but now is the best time to be skiing in Tirol. Due to its high altitude of 1,500 metres, the ski area Hochzeiger is snow-secure until the end of April. The perfect opportunity to carve down the near empty slopes and enjoy winter at its best.

Many winter sports enthusiasts prefer the end of the winter season to go skiing. The mild temperatures invite to sit outside and take in the splendid view over the white summits while soaking up the sun.

Skiing on the Pitztal Glacier in Tirol

High-altitude skiing at an elevation of 3,440 metres

The adventure starts with a heavenly scenic gondola ride in the Wildspitzbahn gondola, which takes visitors effortlessly up to Tirol’s highest glacier. On top of the peak, at an altitude of 3,440 metres above sea level, sits the Café 3440, Austria’s highest elevation café. Surrounded by a series of summits higher than 3,000 metres, visitors can take in the stunning panoramic view from the free-floating sun terrace.

Open from September to May, the ski resort offers 40 km of well-groomed slopes in all levels of difficulty, making the ski area a perfect destination for families.

All owners of a ski pass can use the free shuttle bus from Jerzens to the Pitztal Glacier and the ski area Imst. The bus ride to the Pitztal glacier is only 30 minutes. Non-skiers and winter hikers can purchase a 7-day bus ticket for only €5 at our reception.

Boarders paradise: The snowpark Pitztal Glacier is the meeting point for serious snowboarders. Three areas offer rails, jumps and boxes in all ability levels, from beginner to pro.
